DNA Testing Laboratory Process
Step 2:
Team B receives the samples. The original mouth swab samples are taken back to the Log-In Department and given to Team B, where the entire process repeats itself. The samples are logged and checked and passed to Team B of the DNA Testing Department. Team B isolates the DNA, amplifies it, and then places it into a different ABI Genetic Analyser.
The ABI maps each DNA test sample for a second time and provides a new profile for each sample. This second profile is matched to the first profile obtained by Team A. The two DNA testing profiles must be identical.
