Siblingship DNA Testing

The alleged father is not available for paternity testing, but a 'known' child of his is available - this can fall under siblingship DNA testing.

Siblingship DNA tests can take place between 2 people who think that they are biological siblings (e.g. share the same mother and/or share the same father). There are two different types of siblingship tests:

Full Siblingship Test
This test is performed when two siblings have a common parent (usually the mother). The test will provide a likelihood for whether or not the siblings also share the same father, and are therefore full siblings.

Half Siblingship Test
This test provides a likelihood for whether or not two individuals share a parent, and are therefore half siblings. Usually, those tested have different mothers, but suspect they may have the same father.

Both tests may also be used to test biological relationships in adoption reunification situations.

We encourage the mother(s) of the alleged siblings to be tested, as the mother's involvement gives us a better chance of getting a conclusive result.

Please enquire for further information on Siblingship DNA Testing.
